Saint Dionysios (Άγιος Διονύσιος)

Saint Dionysios of Zakynthos, known as the Saint of Forgiveness, was born in 1547 and is the beloved patron saint of the island of Zakynthos. He became Archbishop of Aegina but spent his later years guiding the faithful on his home island.

He is remembered for his humility, compassion, and miraculous forgiveness—even protecting the man who murdered his own brother. His in corrupt relics rest in Zakynthos, where he is honored with great devotion.

Feast Days: August 24 & December 17.
